When I was in Hawaii, years ago, I had the chance to spend some time with locals. We drove up to the north shore, went swimming, ate a coconut, had shave ice, and generally had a great time. They also brought along a picnic lunch. What was in it?-Spam Musubi-
I just found out that that's the name of this food. It looked different, and I don't usually like "different" food, so I didn't think I would like it. But I did! I was told that this is like a staple food for Hawaiians. Kids even take it to school with them for lunch.
It is basically spam, rice, seasoning, and seaweed wraps. Have you ever tried it? Did you like it?
Would you like to make some at home? Here is a link to a recipe for spam musubi. Enjoy!
