Have you ever had Spam Musubi?

When I was in Hawaii, years ago, I had the chance to spend some time with locals. We drove up to the north shore, went swimming, ate a coconut, had shave ice, and generally had a great time. They also brought along a picnic lunch. What was in it?

-Spam Musubi-
I just found out that that's the name of this food. It looked different, and I don't usually like "different" food, so I didn't think I would like it. But I did! I was told that this is like a staple food for Hawaiians. Kids even take it to school with them for lunch.

It is basically spam, rice, seasoning, and seaweed wraps. Have you ever tried it? Did you like it?
Would you like to make some at home? Here is a link to a recipe for spam musubi. Enjoy!

Hawaii

Wow! We must be pretty bad at blogging because we rarely post anything. Since we wrote last, God has directed us to Hawaii as a field of ministry. We are going to be helping out Kevin and Janice Buttram (BMW missionaries also) with a church plant in Pearl City.

We are super excited to get there and help out! Aaron will also be working full-time at Wal-Mart, and hoping to get to know the locals better. Elisabeth will possibly be working part-time to help with income as well.

Another big blessing is that we are at 75% of the $4000 total we need to live there. Praise God!Now we only need 32 more families/individuals to commit to $30 a month. Will you?

Pray with us that we will be able to move there in mid-July. It's coming up soon, but with God all things are possible!
