Pacific Opportunities

After a lot of prayer and godly advice, we determined it is not God's will for us to serve in New Zealand. But, when we were there, we thought of something we hadn't in a long time: tent making.

We are looking into this possibility somewhere in the pacific. Aaron has seen God at work while on the job. He has had the opportunity to lead men to the Lord and disciple them. Working alongside them, shows them he is just a normal guy. So, we are seriously considering this avenue of ministry.

Right now, we are still concentrating on the pacific area. There are many islands and opportunites. Pray that God will lead us to the right place. Thanks!

Orange Chocolate Chip Ice Cream

Have you ever had this kind of ice cream? We tried it here in Auckland, New Zealand and it was GREAT!
We have been in New Zealand since Monday, Sept. 15th, and have seen the Auckland area, had a chance to get to know the missionaries, and obserive the ministries.
Next week we will go to Hamilton, to see the ministries with the Smiths and Robin Brooks.
So far, we have noticed that kiwis are very friendly and try to make you feel comfortable, but so many need the Lord.
Today we went to a flea market and Aaron and Jack McMahan had a chance to talk with a couple men there. Both were mormons.
Pray that God will continue to guide us so that we will know if this is where he wants us to minister full time.

Countdown to New Zealand!

It is exciting to get ready for our trip in 3 weeks! Please pray for us as we travel for 23 hours with a two year old. We bought some new toys for her to play with on each plane trip. We fly from here to Denver, to Los Angeles, to New Zealand on September 13, and then back again the same way on October 7th. Do you have any other ideas of activities or games or anything, to do with a toddler on a plane? Also, do you have any questions you would like us to find out while we are in New Zealand? Survey Trip to New Zealand

We are getting ready to go to New Zealand for about a month. We will be there September 13 - October 7. We are SUPER excited, so we decided to keep a blog about our time there. We are still raising support to go (we need $5,500 total), but we already bought the non-refundable tickets. We still need $3100 to cover the costs (the tickets themselves cost around $4,700).

We will be spending most of our time in Auckland and Hamilton on the North Island, the two areas BMW is planting churches currently. While we are there, we are going to get to know the missionaries there, share our testimonies in their churches, and get to know the ministries and see how we can fit in them.

Please be praying, because this trip determines our future place of ministry. Pray that God's will would be clear to everyone.
